Mrs. Schultheisz's first grade class planted pumpkin seeds after studying the needs of a plant. They planted 2 types of seeds in dirt and gave them water, air and sunlight. They also put some seeds in water only and placed them in the window. This experiment was to show what would happen if all the plant's needs were met, versus only some of the needs being met. Students then made predictions about what might happen to the seeds.
